Are You a P90X Online Entrepreneur?

Issue 99: P90X Internet Entrepreneur
by Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
==================================

One issue away from 100! (It’s coming your way on Tuesday.)

In this issue I want you to make a decision. To draw a line in the sand – so to speak – and decide which side you are going to stand on.

Since the beginning of the year you’ve been challenged through the Nicheology profit Letter to work. To set goals. To record your achievements.

You’ve been challenged to move forward with force. To focus on your online business. To do your best and serve your customers with value.

The reason?

To build a solid, dependable online business.

There are thousands of people online selling the “get rich quick” and “make money overnight” formula. But as you know by now, I don’t subscribe to those theories.

Do you?

Do you really believe deep down that you are going to make a living online – or even just a few dollars online – by doing the minimum and expecting the maximum?

It’s like fitness.

You can either do what it takes and the get the results you want. Or you can buy every book and promise on the market and you’re going to remain fat and out of shape.

It’s that simple.

But even the fitness market is filled with hope and hype…

http://budurl.com/SitFit

Can you believe that? Get fit while you sit? Really? Uhhhh….I don’t think so. You might accomplish more than just being a couch potato, but not much more.

On the other hand, there’s P90X.

http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/p90x.do

If you have seen their infomercials, you DO NOT watch them and think, “Wow! That’s looks super easy. I’m going to get in shape doing practically nothing.

Nope.

You see the workout and think, “I know I’m going to get results when I do that. (If I survive!)”

All the talk online about being lazy and making money is a LIE!

Every “guru” I know works hard.

Even Tim Ferris of the infamous “4 Hour Work Week.” One of his buddies said, “I spent a week with him and he was working 60+ hours.”

Listen up…

You need to decide if you’re going to be a…

01:: Get Fit While You Sit Entrepreneur

Or a

02:: P90X Entrepreneur

(Hint: I’m the second – and if you are going to follow my training and coaching you need to be the same. If you’re looking for the easy, lazy way to online wealth please unsubscribe from this list.)

P90X is about working your butt off. It’s about discipline. It’s about doing what it takes to get in the best shape possible in a relatively short time. But it’s not easy.

The same is true online.

If that’s what YOU’RE about, then AWESOME!

Get ready for the 100th issue.

You’ll be invited to a free teleconference on creating your Core Business. It’s free, but it will not be easy. It’s going to challenge you.

Are YOU on board? Are you a P90X Entrepreneur?

If so, then make a comment below. Go on record about your willingness to work to become a success online.

Success is NOT an Accident!
Paul

P.S. If you’re needing to drop some fat and get lean, here’s a GREAT fitness training program from my buddy, Craig…

Attracting High-Level Customers

Issue 98: High-Level Customers
by Paul Evans

I am NOT making this up…

While in Mexico last week I discovered Banana Crème filled Oreo cookies!

Yep, pretty awesome. Now I just need to find those here in the States!

====================================

This issue was supposed to be about the “Launch Set-Up,” but once the writing began the content did not seem helpful. Come’on, everyone knows that all the giveaways with a launch are just a set-up. Do I really need to cover that? So I cut it. There’s no need to waste your time with info that isn’t going to help you make more money online or help you serve your customers better.

Let’s talk about attracting a “higher-level” customer.

The RESPONSIVENESS of your list is just as important (if not more so) than the size of your list.

After all, a list of 100,000 people doesn’t mean a thing if no one ever responds to your offers. On the flip side, you can lead a decent living simply from the income coming from a small, highly responsive list. (Just imagine the kind of life you’ll lead with a big, responsive list!)

The responsiveness of your list is dependent on a combination of several factors, including but not necessarily limited to:

1. How well you’ve attracted a niche market (rather than a general mass market group of subscribers). The more focused your niche, the better your response.

Example: If you’re running a dog training site, then you need to attract dog owners (whose dogs need training) to your site. Simply attracting “pet lovers” won’t do. Nor will attracting dog lovers who don’t have dogs that need training.

2. How targeted your mailings are. If you’ve attracted a niche market and you’re sending out niche-oriented offers and emails, then you can expect a good response.

3. How well you’ve built a relationship with your readers. People buy from those they know, like and trust.

4.  How well you write your offers (e.g., your copywriting skills). If you write good copy, you can expect a better response.

There is one important (yet sometimes overlooked) subcategory that’s related to focusing on your target market.

Namely –

You need to be sure that you’re attracting
actual buyers as opposed to freebie seekers.

Think of it this way:

When you’re targeting your market, part of your pre-qualification should be that your buyers are able, willing and even eager to buy products that solve their problems.

Otherwise you’ll have a list of freebie seekers who drag down your conversion rate. And the true freebie seekers (those who want something for nothing) will even waste your time peppering you with questions (though they don’t intend to buy) or they’ll buy with the full intention of refunding instantly.

So how do you avoid freebie seekers?

Here are a few suggestions:

PULL in buyers, not tire-kickers.

If you’re pulling in search engine traffic based on search terms with the word “free” in them, and if it seems like the whole focus of your site revolves around “free stuff,” then your visitors will expect freebies.

While it’s OK to offer freebies for your prospects, just make sure the emphasis of your site is on the solutions you offer, rather than just the FREE solutions.

PUT the emphasis of your squeeze page on your newsletter and less so on the freebie.

If your emphasis is on the freebie itself, the freebie seekers may be tempted to give a “throw away” or temporary email address just to get the freebie.

Instead, put the focus of your squeeze page on the benefits they’ll receive from the newsletter. That way your subscribers will actually be eager to open and read each issue – and of course that increases your conversion rate.

PREPARE your prospects and set expectations.

Let potential subscribers know that your newsletter offers things like product reviews and comparisons, discounts coupons on products and similar. That gives potential subscribers a “heads up” that your newsletter isn’t all about the freebies – and it gives buyers a huge incentive (benefit) to join your list!

PITCH paid products in the very first email you send out.

You don’t have to hard sell in your emails. Instead, weave product recommendations into your content as described previously.

Bottom line: You don’t have to “fear” freebie seekers as most of them are harmless. But neither should you go out of your way to attract them – especially if you’re doing any postal mailings (which of course require a cash outlay in order to contact your prospects).

Success is NOT an Accident!

http://nicheologyprofitletter.com/2009/07/100x-100/

Thing #2 :: Issue #98 of the Nicheology Profit Letter

Comes your way tomorrow.

The Launch “Set-Up.” The good the bad and the ugly of product launches (and how you are being “set-up” to be sold).

Issue 99: P90X Internet Marketing. You’ll be challenged to make your choice on how you will do business online with this issue.

Issue 100: CORE Business. You are invited to a free teleconference on online business. We’ll cover the missing pieces left out of 90% of online business and internet marketing products.

Thing #3 :: Nicheology Members Q & A Live

Make sure you have your questioned turned in for tomorrow night’s call – July 29, 7 pm CST.

http://www.nicheology.com/members/department55.cfm

A few of the ??? so far…

1-What is the best way (template or?) to create high-quality (that have the look and feel of Nicheology for example) special reports or ebooks? I’ve seen plenty that look, well, bad and cheesy, and others that nice great graphics and a very professional “feel” about them. What is it that makes the difference? It can’t just be the simple conversion process from word to PDF.

2-What microphone and set up do you recommend to create podcasts, narrate your videos, etc? I need to save costs, but still have a decent quality to what I do.

3-I just listened to your June call. it was great! I want to follow Russell Brunson’s micro-continuity concept with free CD…etc. My overall niche is natural health-wellness and providing natural health solutions to health conditions/issues. Currently I have a blog, that up to this point, has been very general. I want to establish myself as an authority in this niche. I’m stuck on how best to proceed, beginning with what to offer as an opt-in. I don’t mean what type of physical product (I want to do a free CD) but on what topic? General or specific? I know people are much more attracted to a specific solution to an urgent, specific problem, right? If so, what do I do with my current “authority/umbrella) blog, and do I need to multiple blogs with multiple squeeze pages and multiple free CD’s and multiple continuity programs for each “condition/problem? I want my product funnel to lead to high-level 1-on-1 health coaching……

4-Do you have suggestions for an affiliate management software or program (not Cllickbank, not RAP and not 1Shoping Cart) that will track and pay my affiliates, etc. ?

5-Paul, you mentioned on the June call that one could either adopt a pen name or their own name. Just when you go into multiple niches it may confusing your target markets. I’d like to know just how could one serve multiple niches faithfully? How could you generate traffic to such unrelated niches?

More than Money

On July 23, 2009, in internet marketing, by Paul Evans

Issue 97: More than Money
by Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
==================================

It’s HOT in Mexico!

Our work crew pounds through the heat clearing the property for the Angels (children of the orphanage).

Here are some picts of the children…

http://nicheologyprofitletter.com/2009/07/mexico/

You know, “clearing the property” sounds smooth. But we do not have any tractors or heavy equipment. We’re clearing the land by hand!!

It’s a strong workout. But everyone loves it, even though we collapse at the end of the day.

It’s not easy, but it is rewarding. Somehow working hard makes food better. Drinks colder. A bed softer. When you’re working for more than the next “shiny thing” and you can see the results on the faces of those you’re serving – WOW! – it puts all the effort in perspective.

Decide right now to give away some of your money or time each month. Do it even if you’re not making much. It’s doesn’t take a lot to change a life one meal at a time.

Not only will you make an impact you will also change your view of money and why you are in business.

Most of us get started online because we want to make money. Quit the dead in job. Work from home. Super cool things like that. Along the way let’s continue to give. Here are some possibilities…

1. Sponsor a Child. For about $30 you can provide monthly support for a child in a 3rd world country.

2. Serve in a Soup Kitchen. If you do not have money to give, share your time by serving the in the lunch line of a local mission.

3. Home Repairs. If you’re a “fix-it” person I can guarantee there are plenty of opportunities in your neighborhood to help someone.

4. Mission Trips. If you attend a church check out what they offer mission wise. If they do not have anything in place, look around your city for opportunities at other churches.

5. Your “Work.” Whether you’re background is in accounting, electrical, education, finance, medical, etc… YOU can use your expertise to help and serve. There are plenty of non-profits that would LOVE to have your help.

Here’s my giving focus….

http://videomagnetsblog.com/?p=82

Regardless of how or how much you decide to give – give something.

Success is NOT an Accident!

THE #1 Product on the Internet

On July 20, 2009, in online business, by Paul Evans

Issue 96: THE #1 Product Sold on the Internet
by Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
==================================

Spent last week in Dallas.

This week I’m in Mexico working with Orphans.

Last week’s work makes this week’s work possible. To me it’s what the “internet lifestyle” is all about.

Before getting to this issue’s training info…

01: I LOVE flying out of my home town’s airport.

Here’s why…

IMG_0403

I was the ONLY person going through security. Was greeted by name. Engaged in actual conversation with classic souther hospitality.

02: “Muscle Milk” needs to be added to vending machines.

More and more convenient stores stock the Muscle Milk brand of protein. It’s even here in the ATL airport. AMEN! Now if it were only stocked right outside of 5 Guys Burgers and Fries! :-)

03: When people have their ear phones in they have no idea how loud they eat. The guy next to me sounds like a cow chewing its cud. Like a swine on the dine. It’s a smack attack! :-)

04: Be watching for the 100th issue of the Nicheology Profit Letter. You’ll be invited to attend a free live online business training teleconference. No pitching. Nothing for sale. And you can ask questions.

Why?

Online business success rates stink. Primary causes… no fundamentals. No business acumen. No plan. Blind acceptance. No solid system based on reality. And a lot more reasons that will be solved on the call. Watch for it. Issue 100.

THE #1 Product Being Sold on the Internet

Take a peek behind the curtain.

Scarcity. Reciprocity. Launches. Sideways sales letters. Social proof. Herding. Fear. Gain.

All of those (and more) fill your email box and send you to webpages to get you to buy something you originally had no intention of purchasing.

The “average” internet market release focuses on psychology, not value. Sell-ability, not solutions.

For Example: People bought “Mass Control” who have no list and no product. WHAT?!

“That don’t make no sense” (Pete in “O Brother, Where Art Thou).

It seems that every launch sells-out. Every product promises riches. And somehow a trillion tons of “proof” fills the page boasting the ways a “newbie” stumbled upon a secret way to make a ca-gillion overnight from his mother’s basement.

Uh….. right. :-)

The #1 “product” being sold in internet marketing is NOT squeeze pages, done for you systems, Clickbank magic, copywriting, continuity, mini-sites, workshops, live events, etc.

The #1 “product” being sold to YOU and ME is………..

..

..

..

..

HOPE

Hope suspends disbelief.

Hope causes you to make emotional decisions.

Hope opens your wallet.

Hope extends simplicity and ease and “you deserve it.”

Hope creates “THIS is IT” and “THIS must be THE answer,” when we ought to be thinking… “OK, this is a piece of the puzzle, not the entire solution.”

But hope does not work that way. Hope relates to faith more than logic or reality. Hope conceives in possibility (and often gives birth to disappointment).

You must be careful…

Hope can lead to dope. (Not drug, dope; dummy, dope.)

It’s not an accident that you WANT to buy that shiny new release. It’s hope on the loose. Be ready. Recognize it. Buy what will educate you, just don’t believe it will liberate you. Don’t get crazy and think…

“All of your wildest dreams will come true” (Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite).

Don’t buy hope; buy help.

And when you’re selling, sell hope AND help. KNOW the solution the customer will get and be proud and confident of it. Be excited that your people are not just buying but actually benefiting!

Success is NOT an Accident!
Paul

Online Business- It’s Just That Easy

===========================================

Notes from the blog…

Paul, I love your value-added approach – and straight talk. It’s a good dose of reality and encouragement in my ear when I really need it. Created 3 info products and put them online this weekend thanks to your insights and no fluff approach. I’ve been hung up on perfecting things for a while and I was finally able to get through that and just get it done incrementally. Many thanks for your value-add!

…Shannon

(Congratulations!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!!)

—–

Hey Paul,

The Big Game Plan was awesome. Thanks for the great content, problem solving, humorous atmosphere, etc. You are a blessing. I will be glad to provide a great testimony for the event. It will pay for itself many times over…and soon…it’s just that easy!

Your friend!

Bruce Ammons

http://www.GodsMoneyCoach.com

(B, it was a blast! Loved your engagement on forming that mastermind group!)

Paul I’ll just come out and say it. I love you best. I’ve been on your list and a member of nicheology for awhile now – and your information is top-notch. I appreciate so much that you back important human rights causes and can illustrate the power of success with your business through that, versus showing off your mansion and your latest yacht. (Not to say that you have a mansion and a yacht, but you know what I mean…). Of course I understand the point – successful internet marketers want to show us they have the money to buy those “material things” – so we understand they are financially successful and can therefore show us how to be successful so we will buy their stuff. But the value system there, sucks, frankly, and it really turns me off. YES, I want to be successful, but it’s not so I can buy a mansion and a Porsche! Show me you are so successful that you can donate big to your favorite nonprofit causes and change lives, and also spend more time with the ones you love, and you’ve got my attention!

-Vonalda

(Thanks V!!! Donate BIG. Love it!!)

There are more comments on the blog, but I wanted to share a few and thank all of you for your integrity and willingness to WORK.

Bruce (quoted above) attended The Big Game Plan earlier this week with myself, Carrie and Perry (http://budurl.com/videoattract).

A running joke “it’s just that easy” took over half-way into day one.

It WAS easy to those leading the event because it’s what we do. Bruce said, “You’re so far removed from being a beginner you’ve forgotten that all of this easy stuff can be hard.”

LOL!

That’s right!

Almost everything is hard the first time. Riding a bike. Swimming. Putting up a squeeze page. But after just a little bit of time it becomes just that easy. Soon you do not have to think about it.

Here are the stages according to Maslow…

Unconscious Incompetence – you don’t know what you don’t know.

Conscious Incompetence – you know what you don’t know but want to learn.

Conscious Competence – you purposely learn and acquire the skill of what you don’t know.

Unconscious Competence – its second nature and you do not have to think about performing the action.

What is HARD for you right now in your online business? (Write it down.)

Either – outsource it or learn it.

And don’t give up!!!!!!

Whatever you set your sights and mind on, you can accomplish. But give it time. I think I have been more than open about how long it takes to build a business.

But if you’re willing to keep working, keep pushing and keep growing you’ll be amazed at the results. (Go back and read Shannon’s comments again at the top of this letter. It’s LOADED with the secret of success.)

And once you rack up those successes – you’ll start showing others what you are doing and find yourself saying…

“It’s just that easy.” :-)

Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

P.S. Got something free and cool planned for the 100th issue of the Nicheology Profit Letter. A free tele-seminar on “Core Business.” We’ll be getting down to the essentials of REAL business. Internet Business Anchors

Quick joke from a friend…

What has two teeth and is 80 feet long?

(Give up?)

The funnel cake line at the South Alabama State Fair.

(I shouldn’t be laughing at that since I’m from Alabama, but I’ve actually seen the line!!)

OK… today’s issue….

bgplogo23 Internet Business Anchors

Carrie Wilkerson, Perry Lawrence and I are conducting Big Game Plan training/coaching this week in Texas. Yesterday, I shared these three anchors with the players…

01: Our Businesses Should Make the Customer/Client Better.

Stop focusing on SALES and start focusing on the VALUE your customers receive.

The reason there’s so many shouts of discontent in internet marketing is because people are being psychologically manipulated into buying. But tricks aren’t required. Just provide a product or service people will be glad they bought. Create products buyers will thank you for.

After the application or education of your info product the customer should be in a better position. Don’t fall in love with your product; fall in love with your people.

02: Remain Flexible and In Line with Your Core DNA.

Just because a guru says you need to do x, y, z does not make it so. Think for yourself. Do what you enjoy. Don’t abandon your natural strengths and personality blindly following the advice of someone.

Take training/teaching and adapt it to who YOU are. Play the game on YOUR terms. Build your business around your strengths and passions.

bruce(Bruce Ammons  at Big Game Plan!)

03: Picture YOUR Perfect Business.

I like to work from 4-8 am. What does YOUR “work day” look like?

What would your average day look like? What would it feel like?

Build YOUR business- don’t just replicate what you see someone else doing.

Those anchors keep you a solid place. They keep you from drifting.

Until next time, see you in the funnel cake line. :-)

Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul
