Friday night was awesome with the girls from Stella’s House! These girls have been snatched from the hands of human traffickers.
And super fun to have Carrie Wilkerson and her daughter visit with our family for the weekend. Carrie has BIG plans for a book release to benefit Stella’s. Watch for it in August.
You know, the “internet marketing lifestyle” usually paints with a think brush of selfishness and self-interest. It cracks me up to see the sales pages of the flashy cars and mansions as those marketers speak directly to our greed.
BUT! BUT! BUT! There is no car or house that can match the smile of a young lady who says to you, “Thank you for rescuing me from human trafficking.” Or to hold a disabled, helpless orphan in your arms knowing that your internet business impacts that life.
THAT is the REAL internet marketing lifestyle (in my opinion).
How do we get there?
By committing to and applying a Personal and Business Growth Strategy.
So….. did you complete your assignment form last issue??
ASSIGNMENT: Go to your book shelf. If you were a guest in your home what would you say you were interested in? What would you say you were really serious about?
Now look on your hard drive, how many product have you downloaded and never activated?
Develop YOUR PBGS
01:: Make a List of Areas Where You Need to Grow.
-Web mechanics?
-Online traffic sources?
-Affiliate marketing?
-Joint venture proposals?
-Eliminating procrastination?
-Gaining confidence?
-Time management?
Where do YOU need to grow?
02:: Budget for the Investment.
Stop unmeasured spending. Stop falling for the picture of the big house on the page.
Instead, plan to invest in resources and courses that will help you in your particular area of need.
(Commercial: Nicheology.com is a no-brainer. You get resources to sell and keep ALL the profits from. Niche research done for you. Affiliate markets selected for you. Monthly web mechanics tutorials. Monthly live webinar event for advanced internet marketing. Monthly live call where you get to ask YOUR questions. As far as an investment goes it cannot be matched in terms of quality and value. Feel free to explore the entire internet and prove me wrong on that. I know that’s bold, but I’m serious. And you get the entire archive!
“Paul, I cancelled my membership to 5 other sites. They were all more expensive than Nicheology and were not even close in terms of what I got with you. You’re blowing me away. It’s like being part of ten different sites. You’re saving me a bundle!!)
If you are not budgeting a minimum of $100 a month toward your online business education and equipping, you’re not serious about online business.
03:: Education and Results
Part of your investment should be education based. Simply learning more about a topic or issue.
Almost everyone in online business buys because they want THE answer. But some purchases should focus solely on intellectual breadth. You may not apply the information directly. You’re creating a vault of knowledge you can pull from and use at a later date.
Other investments should focus on actual results. If you purchase a tutorial on “How to Create Videos with Camtasia,” that’s an educational resource to be used not just stored mentally.
ASSIGNMENT: Make your list, budget for your investment and select resources for knowledge and for results.
OK, going to pack for Dallas. Spending the week coaching online entrepreneurs with my friends Carrie Wilkerson and Perry Lawrence. Then closing the week with a mastermind meeting. It’s all part of my PBGS!!!!!
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul
P.S. Got something free and cool planned for the 100th issue of the Nicheology Profit Letter. A free tele-seminar on “Core Business.” We’ll be getting down to the essentials of REAL business. Not the fake stuff being pandered online today. Plus you will get to ask questions if you make it to the live call. More details soon.

Nicheology members: New for personal use: Outsource Your Success!
http://www.nicheology.com/members/programs/fileinfo.cfm?id=73
Outsourcing is all about leveraging other people’s time to make YOU money, it is about getting people to do things faster and better than you could hope to do them so your time is freed up to do those jobs that only you can do, the make or break business stuff. . . .
http://budurl.com/PLsecrets (for rights to this product)
http://budurl.com/OutsourceEd (more about outsourcing)
===========================================
In just a few hours a couple of awesome things are happening!
(No, not some product launch. That’s not really even important although every time a launch occurs it’s made to sound like your life will cease to exist and your business will disintegrate if you don’t buy.)
No, this is really cool. Stuff that actually matters – LIFE.
First, my great friend Carrie Wilkerson (the Barefoot Executive) and her oldest daughter are coming in town for the weekend. Our families will have a fun time together. (Including a 5 Guys Burgers and Fries outing of course!)
Second, the main reason Carrie is coming this weekend is to meet the young ladies from Stella’s House http://100xmissions.org/?p=203. Carrie is doing a book release soon where 100% of the opening sales go to Stella’s!!!!! WOW!!!
And, as always, 100% of the donation will go to the work. 100X Missions does not take out a dime for admin or overhead (our personal business ventures fund all those costs.)
**See how that’s REALLY significant compared to a silly product launch?**
A few issues ago I mentioned the word SACRIFICE. This issue focuses on…
SIGNIFICANCE
Doing what matters. What really counts.
And one of the areas that really matters is increasing your value.
Becoming better at who you are and what you do.
You can do that by adopting a personal and business growth strategy.
Personal & Business Growth Strategy
A picture library collage from around the house…

If you want to eliminate competition – increase your intellectual breadth and depth in a diversity of areas.
Mine include…
- Christianity
- Business
- Online business
- Marketing
- Leadership
- Public Speaking
- Golf
- Travel
- Biographies
- Spy Thriller Novels (Bourne variety)
- Real Estate
- Fitness
(Those could be niched down even further.)
The bottom line falls on this… I’ve read thousands of books and listens to thousands of hours of training in a variety of arenas. That’s a leading factor in success.
(Of course, the general principle most taught in Internet Marketing is that you can basically be illiterate and make millions online. Uh…right.)
Don’t miss the point. You can certainly make money by ONLY studying how to make money (more on this in Part 2). But don’t you want MORE than that? Don’t you want to create an intellectual and educational vault that you can pull from at any moment for conversations, products, teleconferences and seminars?
Don’t you want to create a business based on your own ideas and concepts rather than regurgitating another’s thoughts?
A PBGS shapes you into a more valuable and useful human being.
You should read one book for each sitcom you watch.
Two books for every sporting event you attend.
And so forth.
What you listen to, watch and read influence who you are. Who you are influences those around you.
You say, “I just want to make money online.”
Really?
How many books have you STUDIED on that topic? How many seminars have you attended and applied? How many products have you actually consumed, distilled and taken action on?????
What If I said, “I want to master Spanish.” And you looked on my bookshelf and saw one book. Would you think I was serious?
What if you saw 10 books?
What if you saw 25 books, dictionaries, workbooks, DVDs and an application to attend a five-year language course at a local college?
Ah…. Then you would say, “I guess you’re serious.”
You need a disciplined PBGS. Invest in YOU. Personally and professionally. You won’t just have a successful business, but you will have a significant life.
ASSIGNMENT: Go to your book shelf. If you were a guest in your home what would you say you were interested in? What would you say you were really serious about?
In part two, we’ll look at fleshing out your PBGS and two specific ways to approach it resulting in massive momentum for online success.
You may be thinking – we’ll I’ve bought everything on the planet and still haven’t made money. Part 2 will help with that as well.
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

Issue 91: Is It REALLY Possible???
from Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
===========================================
Nicheology members: The Profit Academy Replay is online…
http://www.nicheology.com/members/department51.cfm
===========================================
One of the best ways to learn is by asking questions. And since a ton of folks get this newsletter the questions pour in (not all of them about online business)…
“Is 5 Guys really as great as you say?”
YES!! (I cannot believe you asked that!) Though I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of their fries. But their burgers…wow!!!!
“How did you lose 15 pounds in a month?”
Uh… The Income DNA sorta spelled that out. http://budurl.com/IncomeDNA
“What is the secret to making money online?”
Work. It’s only a secret because lots of people don’t want to do it.
“Which niche will make me $2000 a month?”
Hmmm… hundreds of niches can produce $2000 a month :: self-growth, diet, exercise, online business, how to start a restaurant, etc :: all possess the seeds of riches. BUT…only YOU can make it happen. No niche will make money FOR you. And no SINGLE process works in every niche.
“Are all southerners as happy as you?”
Nope.
“Are you always in a good mood?”
I’m not. In 2008 I had a couple of really bad days. In fact, one of my boys asked how my day was and for the first time ever he heard me say, “I didn’t have a great day today.” It really threw him. I’m only in a good mood 99% of the time. A 3 hour recording on why I’m happy all the time would be easy to produce, but it might be torture for the crowd!
“Is it REALLY possible to make substantial amounts of money online or is it just a sales pitch?”
Yes to both…
OK. Buckle up. The following collision could prove fatal to your online dreams. Prepare for the impact of……. REALITY!
YES, it really is possible to make substantial amounts of money online.
But it’s not probable for MOST people. Hold on though. Don’t give up just yet. We’re going to find out if you’re different than most people.
Consider the following…
Is it possible to make substantial amounts of money selling life insurance?
Yes.
Is it possible to make substantial amounts of money selling cars?
Yes.
Is it possible to make substantial amounts of money as a professional speaker?
Yes.
Is it possible to make substantial amounts of money with a restaurant?
Yes.
Is it possible to make substantial amounts of money with a tanning bed salon?
Yes.
Yet…… salesmen fail, restaurants close and tanning bed salons shut down leaving their Caucasian customers pasty white.
Was making money in those industries just a sales pitch? Didn’t they all have a dream? Didn’t they all invest time and money to make it work?
Most likely. There are dozens of reasons for failure, but here are the top three…
1) Thinking that people will just show up at the door ready to buy.
2) Thinking about making sales rather than serving customers and sharing a great experience.
3) Failing to contact customers over and over helping them take the experience to a deeper level. In other words, not building a relationship with them.
Most of the fundamentals of business are the same across the board. In general the process needs only slight tweaking for each industry.
So, back to the question…
“Is it REALLY possible to make substantial amounts of money online or is it just a sales pitch?”
It really is possible … but …
Can you sell insurance right now? Can you open a restaurant right now? Can you open a tanning salon right now? Do you know what to do? Do you know how to do it? Do you have the money it takes? Do you know where to find your customers? Can you sustain operations for two years even if a customer never walks through the door?
(Get the picture?)
You can make A LOT of money online. A bunch. A bank full.
But you have to….
Educate yourself.
Experience the steps.
Evaluate and do it all over again.
You really need to create a two year plan in a niche and stick to it. Work it. Pursue it. Sacrifice.
And most won’t do that.
They’ll quit and say, “That was all just a pitch.”
It’s a pitch because it’s sales. But most will give up too soon. They will not invest the time it takes to really learn how to do business online successfully. They want it to be easy. And it never will be for them. Because their focus is wrong. They want it overnight.
But as I have mentioned before. You can’t learn guitar overnight. You can’t learn a language overnight. And they are MUCH EASIER than creating and running a business.
However, if YOU stick with your online business education, continue to work your plan day in and day out, you can make substantial amounts of money online.
It’s really possible.
It’s just not probable for the vast majority who would rather watch sitcoms than work. Who would rather believe the pitch than make a plan.
The good news is that those people are not in your way. They are not your competition. They will keep buying stuff to fulfill their dream, while you will buy stuff to further your online education and grow your business.
In the next issue we’ll look at a sitcom to business ratio and knock another large chunk of your “competition” out of the way.
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

Thank you for the feedback on the weight loss and the Freedom or FreeDUMB thoughts…
http://nicheologyprofitletter.com/2009/07/internet-marketing-freedom-or-freedumb/
Just because the 15 pound fat drop goal was met does not mean it’s time to pork back up.
Nope.
Hit the gym this morning and have already downed a protein drink. Another 10 pound drop should put me at a good weight/height ratio and create a solid physical and mental platform for maximum performance in all life areas.
Good times!!!!
Maximum Performance.
That’s a good goal right?
Of course.
But it differs according to the individual.
Why?
Because some things are easy and some things are hard.
However, sales letters taunting the latest craze make it sound like ALL online business is easy.
It’s not.
They treat each potential buyer like they are all equal. They’re not.
Different backgrounds.
Different processing.
Different skills.
Different talents.
Different intuitiveness.
Different knowledge.
Different education.
What is easy for one is hard for another. What’s hard for one is easy for another.
I’m embarrassed to even write that it’s so elementary.
But get this…
Everything was hard at one point for everyone.
The first golf swing wasn’t easy for Tiger Woods.
Michael Jordan did not thrive in high school basketball.
Your first steps were not smooth.
But you keep trying and keep growing.
Your first squeeze page may have taken 8 hours to get online.
Your next, 4 hours.
Your next, 1 hour.
Then suddenly you’re able to put a page online in about 20 minutes including the Aweber coding.
Then, somehow, you’ve forgotten how hard it USED to be.
And it all resulted from staying committed to your process. You kept plugging away. You kept working. You kept acquiring skills.
It took YEARS of hard work for Tim Ferris to get to a “4 Hour Work Week” (which I think is clever marketing, but not a reality).
And if you really believe that internet marketers are not working like crazy (because that’s what they tell you), then check out your picture beside the word “Gullible” in the dictionary.
Business is tough.
When the going gets tough…you work. You study. You grow. You apply. You evaluate. You experiment. You succeed.
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

Issue 89: Freedom or Freedumb
from Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
===========================================
IMPORTANT: Nicheology members. 3 new Unrestricted PLRs added today
http://www.nicheology.com/members/programs/opendownloads.cfm
And…Welcome to all new Content Goldmine members! Got a BIG bonus coming your way July 14th!
===========================================
Whew!!
Rode 20 miles this morning in hill country. The 40 MPH downhill stint was cool. But going UP that same hill…well…not as fun.
What IS fun is 5 Guys! Here’s a picture of me with my 5 Guys celebrating the 15 pound weight loss….

A BBQ bacon burger. Yum. Yum. Yum.
When you hit your mark or make your goal reward yourself. It does not have to be extravagant. I wasn’t about to gobble 4 burgers and fries (although tempted), but I did want a prize for staying so focused.
What will yours be? Reward yourself for accomplishments.
(By the way… in addition to the ride… this morning I set up an email list, registered 5 domain names related to a new market and created a new landing page for the market. Nope, did not outsource it. Then uploaded 3 new PLR packages for Nicheology members. Did it all in under an hour. Make a plan and complete it. Man, it’s July 4th. It’s Saturday. It’s a holiday. But you can still git’er done. More on this below.)
Now for the semi-rant………………………..
It’s July 4th here in the U.S.A.
Independence Day.
Independence. Freedom. Liberty.
Bold words. Heavy and filled with promise and sacrifice.
And that’s what I am concerned about in internet marketing. A lot of marketers throw around the term freedom. Financial freedom. Freedom to do what you want when you want.
Certainly that’s possible.
But most of the emails you get and sales letters you hit center on the “promise” of freedom, but not “sacrifice.”
It’s the later that is most important to your online success.
Great men and women sacrificed for the freedom we enjoy in America. They gave their very lives. I am thankful and grateful. The luxury enjoyed came through blood, not ease, entitlement or lazy expectations.
Yet online – ease, entitlement and laziness fuel the dreams of people wanting to quit their jobs, do nothing and just fill their bank accounts automatically.
That’s not freedom.
That’s freeDUMB.
It’s dumb to think it’s going to happen overnight.
It’s dumb to think a single website will create semi-retirement in a month.
Even today your inbox will be filled with freeDUMB offers. Promising you a pot of gold delivered right to your email box or PayPal account.
Now then… let’s talk about that critical word…
SACRIFICE
For the past month I sacrificed food I craved and forced myself to exercise like I haven’t in years. The result? 15 pounds of (mostly) fat loss.
Even today, I rode then came home and worked. Bought domains. Created a site. Loaded resources.
(Make no mistake, I get to have fun and play too. I’ll be going to Mexico where I’ll work in an orphanage for a week. My family gets to travel extensively and experience cool stuff.)
BUT I get to do all that because of sacrificing first. Working first. Rewarding second.
Bottom line if it’s not clear already…
Pursue FREEDOM not FREEDUMB.
Believe in hard work and work hard. Ignore the lies and outright deception about internet riches from ease. Commit yourself to personal and professional growth. Create a 6 month to one year plan and go for it.
You hear about people who say, “I’ve been on the internet for 2 years and haven’t made a penny.” I can just about guarantee they are following the FREEDUMB path.
Forget trying to do it the easy way. Do it the hard way. (Got a story about this in the next issue.) Just DO it…period.
Sacrifice.
Sacrifice sleep.
Sacrifice television.
Sacrifice freedumb and gain real freedom.
Happy 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Success is NOT an Accident,

Issue 88: The Desperate Buyers Club
from Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
===========================================
IMPORTANT: Nicheology members. Download Tuesday’s call and enter questions for the next Q & A…
http://www.nicheology.com/members/department55.cfm
===========================================
A lot of thoughts hit your brain at 4:30 am on a bicycle as you listen to business training and watch for traffic all while keeping a pace.
Primarily the thoughts were of you… (My other thought was the huge 5 Guys Burgers and Fries meal I will inhale on Saturday as a reward for losing 15 pounds in the last month!!!!!!) But primarily my thoughts were of…
Your online success.
Your information publishing business.
Your achievement of financial security.
If you want those three things, then focus on smooth and steady. Make a commitment. Write down your business plan and work consistently toward it.
Otherwise you become a victim.
A victim of the Desperate Buyers Club.
Internet Marketers prey on the desperate. They know people who need money NOW will believe and buy almost anything. They know their product will not work for these people, but they don’t care. The main goal is to make the sale.
Unfortunately, that creates a legion of people who become disillusioned and even more desperate. But they keep buying and becoming more cynical about online business in general.
Sad.
All that could be avoided with…
Slow and steady.
A commitment to remain committed to the process of learning and applying online business strategies and modules that are proven to work time and again.
For example…
Nicheology – Certainly there are some people who join with the hopes of becoming an overnight success. They join for a month and give up.
However, there are a ton of people doing it right. They are learning from the training. They show up and apply the Profit Academy. They ask questions and get answers in the monthly Q & A Live call.
These silent successes operate in consistency.
Let’s bring it even closer to home with a brief post I made on the Warrior Forum that made a listing of “best threads”…
While most online success is painted as get rich quick, I’d like to tell you another story. It’s not a story of mega wealth or unbelievable riches. It’s a simple story of consistency.
For all of you who are finding over night success elusive, let me encourage you to remain steady.
Like most in the forum I’ve got various products across various niches. Some have been highly successful and others not so. But the site I get the most enjoyment from is slow and steady.
No immediate success. No “wow!” numbers that make others jealous.
About 3 years ago the site opened with a few files and articles in a small niche. The goal was to update the site with new content on Monday-Wednesday-Friday and send a “tip of the week” each Monday. The members pay $9.95 a month or $97 a year. Twenty joined the first month. More the second month and so on.
It’s up to several thousand members now, but only because of sticking to the plan. There are no affiliates, no launches, just Adwords and some SEO traffic.
It would have been easy to give up a few months in, but I was trying to look a few years ahead.
Think about the time you have spent trying to make money fast. Think about the distraction. Think about the unfinished projects. Think about the pursuit of the next big thing.
Now think about focusing in just a few areas and becoming steady. No necessarily OCD on the area, just consistency. Imagine making a simple plan that you follow without fanfare on a daily basis. No rushing. No feeling overwhelmed. Just smooth and steady.
Here’s my encouragement…
01 :: Unsubscribe from the Desperate Buyers Club.
Make your decision to become a proactive business owner, not a victim of the hype and hope sales pitch.
02 :: Commit to Smooth and Steady.
Do something everyday to build your online business. Do it with purpose. Serve your market. Provide value.
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul
