Whew! We had a great Clarity Call last night for those in www.SimpleSixFigures.com What a blast. The call was packed!

(Folks, the MP3 replay and paraphernalia are posted in the site.)

Some Twitter response…

graceonyango : Great call by paul evans @nicheology.
Straight forward got go do some work now…

sheriesmith : Enjoyed info-packed call with
@Nicheology/Simple Six’s Paul Evans 2nite. So much
info I’ll have to beef up my notes from replay.
Excellent!

janebutton : @Nicheology Loved your call tonight -
and yes you are so right “success is not an accident”

BizOwnersOnline : “We’re in sales…we want to
be in cool products, but WE’RE IN SALES!” –
@nicheology

jameswedmore : Listening to a super-secret call
w/@Nicheology who is just dumping all that
genius wisdom of his onto his listeners!

Alright… On to this issue…

“I didn’t gain this weight in one weekend. It was one more bite that did me in.” Zig Ziglar.

In general… No one gets fat overnight. No one gets strapped in consumer debt overnight. No one loses a marriage overnight.

It’s a process.

A path.

It’s one more bite.

One more dollar.

One more glance.

Here’s the good news…

The reverse is also true.

One more lap.

One more payment.

One more “I love you.”

All cumulatively compound into awesome results.

Last year my youngest boy started baseball coaching. Today he’s not the same kid! He can tag it. But it didn’t happen after one session. He goes twice a week and then practices outside of that.

My oldest is sixteen does video editing and graphic design. His first weren’t great, but now…wow!! Now his old man is asking him questions!

We know it takes children a while to walk and talk. It takes 12 years to graduate. It takes 4 years for a college degree.

It’s a process.

Simple consistency.

Showing up to practice and class day after day.

Learning and applying.

Not giving up.

Not giving in.

It all ends up adding up.

Success is NOT an Accident!

Simple Math

Issue 114: Simple Math
By Paul Evans
www.nicheologyprofitletter.com
============================

This past weekend I participated in Carrie’s “BOSS” event. It was a blast!!!

Check out http://search.twitter.com #BOSS2009 to read the fun!

Carrie, Perry Lawrence, Craig Ballantyne, David Frey and myself were the speakers. This had to be the best crowd ever at an internet marketing event. Solid integrity and hard workers.

Between the 42” pizza at Big Lou’s and the 3 pound+ cinnamon roll from Lulu’s Bakery, I barely made it out of San Antonio without gaining body mass!

Ok, let’s get down to some serious business. Here’s an email that came in…

Reader’s Situation:

I have no idea if this will ever get to you, but why not try.

First of all, if you look at the site I have mentioned above, it is just something I created for an insurance company. I am on the video and have written 40 modules of content, hours of video…and now they want to wait till next February to launch.

Without getting into too many specifics, I am without income, a job, till next February, and to be honest, I don’t want to work for these people anymore.

I either have to get a job, or find a way to make some income online. I want SO BAD to have an online business and NOT go to work in a cubicle. I can’t express that enough.

Your email today (blog post), with you commenting on Starbucks, B&N, Apple…it hit me so close to home. Especially the realization that their success is because of the connection…not trickery, foolery or voodoo!!!!

Sorry to go so long but you appear to be as decent and caring as anyone I have encountered online, so I thought I would just beg you to address one area:

I need to prove to myself I can generate $150 a day online. If I can do that in the next couple of weeks, I can avoid the cubicle nonsense and just create and build and develop and nurture and grow my business….a business in existence to help my clients find what they need and crave and are hurting from a lack thereof.

So, this is a really long way to ask, what is the quickest way to prove to someone that income online is possible and doable? Should I learn Clickbank and PPC, CPA Networks, Adwords???? I love the membership model more than anything else. In fact, I created one for Hockey. But with that membership site, once again I did it for someone else who controlled the big decisions and they thought there was a better way so i just had to say adios!

If you can suggest or recommend or point me in a direction to figure out how to see and feel and realize some true income from an effort online, I would be forever grateful. I have some ability in many areas related to online ‘stuff’, but am not a master or pro at anything…maybe that’s my problem…along with the fact I have bought 9,000 courses and products!!!

Thanks man and even if I never hear from you, I feel better already and appreciate all your thoughts and mentoring.

Response:

First, know you are not alone. Many people, especially in this economy, are in the same situation.

Second, the basics of business remain the same online and offline…

Send traffic to an email capture page.

Build your list and build a relationship.

Make offers that match their wants and needs.

(Regular readers – don’t get tired of seeing that process. It’s key!)

Third, here are the 2 fastest ways I know to make money online…

01 : PPC + SP1 + SP2 + MO = $$

You want to keep the math simple.

Run $100 worth of Pay Per Click (PPC).

Send them to your squeeze page (SP1) and capture email addresses.

Make your email confirmation page a Sales Page (SP2).

Then follow up with Multiple Offers (MO) through your autoresponder.

[OK, there are tons of folks saying.. “Paul, I already know about that.” Ooooo… Are you DOING it??]

Now here’s the important part.

Simple math.

How many clicks did you get to your site?

How many opted-in?

How many bought your first offer?

How many bought your follow-up offers?

Take that and you’ll know how many people you have to get to your site to make $150 a day.

You have to keep those numbers. You have to know how much you spend to make money.

You may need 1,000 guests a day to make that money.

Keep records and do the math.

Ok, ok, now then here’s ANOTHER way to make money.

You’ve bought a TON of stuff. You know a lot about online business.

Write articles about internet marketing for local magazines and newspapers. Try to get 3-5 placed a month.

Build super simple web sites and follow-systems using Aweber. You should be able to close 2 a month at $1500 each assuming you live in an area of 50,000+.

(And just so everyone knows, it’s the same process: traffic – articles. List – call ins or visits to your site. Offer – “I’ll build and manage your web presence.”)

Let’s not make this more difficult than it has to be. :-)

Success is NOT an Accident!
Paul

P.S. Folks who got in are PUMPED. Get in now before the “Clarity Call” this Thursday. www.SimpleSixFigures.com

Squeeze Pages Made Super Simple and Easy

On October 9, 2009, in online business, by Paul Evans

http://budurl.com/fastsqueeze

This is ridiculously simple. I LOVE how simple this is. Watch the video and decide if it is for you.

HOWEVER, if you buy there is a 30 offer to try Infusionsoft. You do not need that. At least 99% of the folks in information product marketing do not need it. So don’t take the trial.

The product itself is super easy to use to build your squeeze pages.

Simple Sensitivity

113: Simple Sensitivity
by Paul Evans

===================================

Big Lou’s Pizza!

Last night we crashed into Lou’s. This joint was featured on the Travel Channel’s Man vs Food. Home of the 42” pie!

Check it out…

pie

That was just a blast.

Sharing food, fellowship and fun with friends is AWESOME!

But everything you share with friends isn’t “fun.” And that’s part of being there for people when life hurts…

Monday, I met my friend Tim for lunch.

Three weeks ago his wife died from Leukemia. They fought the disease for several years, this past twelve months being the toughest.

We had lunch, not just because we’re friends, but we share the same path.

Sixteen years ago my first wife passed away in my arms.

Our son was five weeks old.

I know loss.

Tim wanted/needed to talk to someone who actually knew the pain.

Someone who knew lonely nights.

Someone who was in love and lost the one they loved.

Someone who knew the “well meaning” comments that come from the “helpful.”

I am not a psychologist, a doctor or someone with all the answers. I am a friend. A person with a shared, though painful, experience.

And, honestly, that’s worth far more than an “expert.”

In online business people are concerned about being the “expert” or the “authority.”

Fine.

It’s OK, but unneeded.

If you’re holding back because you don’t think you have the right credentials, understand that the information product business is more about walking a shared path than pedigree.

Here is the simple, yet powerful platform for a successful online business: sensitivity to the market.

What hurt can you help?

What problem can you solve?

What smile can you deliver?

Where have you been (in life in experiences) that others want to go?

It doesn’t have to be deep.

I created a puppy training product a few years ago when I taught our pup to use the potty outside in under 24 hours.

I train public speakers to create great talks and deliver them with confidence.

I produce resources for youth leaders.

Problems and solutions. Pain turned to pleasure.

You wouldn’t care if that help comes from an expert or a friend. And for the most part, the market doesn’t care either.

Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

Simple Connection

On October 6, 2009, in internet marketing, by Paul Evans

Issue 112 : Simple Connections
Nicheology Profit Letter
by Paul Evans
=======================================

So here I am…

Sitting here in Starbucks @ Georgia Tech.

Aromatic coffee.

Steamed milk rushing the cup like Niagara Falls.

Hustle. Bustle. Eyes waiting to become alert through a caffeine injection.

Here I am…

Pecking away on my MacBook.

Checking text messages on my Iphone.

Wondering which of the thousands of titles lining the shelves of the Barnes and Nobles over my left shoulder will I conquer next?

It’s official.

I’m a nerd! :-)

From bodybuilder to online business builder.

Let the good times roll. :-)

Simple.

Starbucks… a cup of java shaped into an experience.

Apple… computing and communication made cool and chic.

Barnes & Nobles… books by brand and browsing for the betterment of human beings!

Each of those companies connect with their market. They understand what moves the market.

Connection is critical.

The old cliche is true, “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”

That’s the real key to connection… caring.

So in this crazy virtual world of the internet how do you connect? How do you care? Here are some ABC’s to apply…

01 : Authenticity.

Just be you.

Share who you are and what you stand for. Help people don’t just sell products. Give a few details from your life. Let people know what’s going on with you. If you love 5 Guys Burgers and Fries, let folks know!

It hard to know who to trust online. We’ve all been disappointed. We’ve all run into the creep that values money over ethics.

When I first got started online I got ripped-off to the tune of $197. I didn’t have it at the time. And I didn’t forget it.

On the other hand. I met some awesome leaders and teachers early on and we are still friends today.

Be authentic and don’t tell people they can trust you, prove it.

02 : Build.

Help your people become better. Solve their problems.

Even though you are free to choose any model you want, I prefer the value model.

I like writing this letter. There are thousands who read and may never buy. That’s cool. From the response we get, I know those readers are better at online business for having taken the time to absorb.

Your business will be stronger and last longer when you build rather than pitch products all the time.

And when it come time to sell something that will help your people (like Simple Six last week), you don’t get massive drop-offs, but massive acceptance.

03 : Charity

Help others.

Do good beyond your business.

As you know, my heart is connected to orphans. Through 100X Missions we build orphanages around the world. Right now we’re in Malawi, India, Moldova, USA and Mexico.

This work builds a deeper connection with many Profit Letter readers. It’s not a trick or ploy. It’s who I am. And readers let me know what they are doing and how they are helping others. Its awesome!

Listen, there are way too many tricks and tactics being taught on email marketing and list pimping. It’s stupid. It’s unethical.

Connection is simple. Be you. Build through your content. Give yourself away through serving others.

Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul

P.S. I know many of these concepts are counter to what a lot of internet marketers teach. I’ve been in the meetings where marketers laugh and high-five each other for how they manipulated and controlled their list using the tools of psychology to produce a herd and cult response.

If that’s the training you’re looking for you might as well unsubscribe now.

P.P.S. Just read this blog post from Bob the Teacher…

http://askbobtheteacher.com/blog/your-list-is-not-an-atm

AWESOME thoughts!! Read, agree and apply.
