“How can I make money fast?!”
That question comes in all the time. So I am going to give you several possibilities. Some will connect and others won’t. All will be amazing simple.
#1. Stop spending on non-essentials.
You can make money fast with this one.
It’s amazing the number of folks you run into who complain about money but go to Starbucks everyday.
“What?”
Yep.
Same folks who ask, “How can I learn to make money online for free?”
When a person spends more to slurp bean water a month than investing in a profit education – Hmm… well, let’s say the odds are stacked negatively.
Seriously. Write down every dime. What can you cut? Cut it.
See? I just made you money.
You’re welcome.
#2. Get an extra job.
A friend of mine used to go to his day job with his lawnmower in the back of his mini-van. On the way home he cut yards to pay off debt. And you know what? He did it!!!!!!
(By the way – Now he’s working full time online.)
“Paul, I don’t want no stinking ‘nother job! I want to sit in my recliner with a laptop, sipping bean water and raking in the dough.”
Ooooooo… then you better get a solid plan and get the work. Mowing grass is faster, but you’ll make more online given time.
#3. Sell Stuff.
This, of course, is the essence of business and profit.
You need to sell your product or someone’s else product.
If you do not have anything for sale.
If you are not actively selling anyone else’s stuff, you won’t make money.
I know, I know – business is sort of weird like that.
#4. Build your list.
Ok, even if you don’t have #3 you have GOT to have #4 because it make #3 easy!(er).
You do not have to have anything to sell to build list.
You could have a one page blog with an opt-in form and a headline that says, “I’ve got a secret. Enter your name and email below to get it.”
I ain’t lying. People will opt-in without having a clue about you or your site.
Yeah, crazy right?
I know.
So how much easier if you give away something cool like… “Make Your Own Affluent Bean Water Beverage In The Privacy Of Your Dwelling For Pennies Compared To The Company Who Calls A Small Bean Water Grande.”
People would opt-in in.
Ain’t lying.
Then you go to #3 and sell extravagant been water reports, bean grinders, beans, and bean liquid machines.
I’ve got more, but my girl is calling me.
Probably wants to go to that place that puts a mermaid on their grandes.

On that last note comes today’s lesson…
There was NO REASON to eat like we did at Morton’s. Yes, it was crazy good. But crazy.
As I find myself once again in need of losing a few pounds and am reminded of my DNA, I thought about creating an SCD.
SCD = Slight Calorie Deficiency.
Nothing insane. Just enough to prevent over eating or under nutritionizing.
I am starting right now (with a trail mix bar and a Coke Zero (only the best soft drink on the entire planet (wait – just checked with the galaxy and it confirmed the greatness as well))) and will probably end this experiment around lunch.
It’s so easy to over-do-it at the table. Or to eat when you’re bored. Or to get a craving the grocery store and suddenly find your shopping cart is filled with goodies not on the list. (Not talking about me you understand. This is hypothetical.)
So a key is SCD. Eating enough to lose fat, but no so little you lose your mind.
We need that same approach to online business.
First, get a grip on the three simple concepts of doing business…
Second, reach that level first.
Get a product online and for sale FAST.
Seriously, think about it for a minute. If you grabbed just ONE of the products (say you’re into Spinning and Weaving) from Nicheology, you could be selling it online in under an hour if you’ve created a site before or used Blogger or something similar.
There’s no reason to sit around trying to figure out what the BEST website software is, or the BEST payment system, or the BEST membership script.
Unless you already have a lot up for sale online, you’re just creating business gluttony.
It’s what I see all the time in the offline world.
Guy wants to start a business – let’s say life coaching.
Guy gets swanky office space.
Guy buys sleek office staging and a chair with lumbar support guaranteed to keep him fresh.
Guy gets super cool business cards.
Guy ain’t got no clients!!!!
All the sleek and swanky were not needed to start his business. Not at all. Instead, he could have saved all the coin by becoming a “Private” life coach and made office visits.
Listen, at this point in my business experience (over 20 years), I ALWAYS make more money with the minimums than the maximums.

Bottom line – don’t over complicate. Keep your system simple.

My question is, how do you identify yourself online in different niches. What i mean is, is it OK to use fake names etc as you enter into different niches and how does this affect customer trust.
Do I need another website for each WordPress.org blog that I set up in order to add a shopping cart and squeeze page for a product? If so, then the costs would be for webhosting , domain name, time for set up. Can I have a host that lets me keep several sights at one place to keep the cost lower?
I am an Education Specialist teaching eBay classes (trained by eBay). I would love to do “calls” with my students keeping them updated and recommending products that are of value. What is the best service to use starting out, such as a webinar, podcast, etc.

Paypal seems to be a very simple and easy way to have your customers pay for the product, and i have used PayPal to buy online for a couple of years now and had no problems. However, I keep hearing about problems that sellers have with Paypal – accounts being frozen, problems in withdrawing funds, refunds being given to customers before the complaint is resolved, etc. What has been your experience with Paypal and do you have any recommendations for the safest and mot hassle-free method to have your customers pay you?
If I plan on going into multiple markets that are not related, should I start a separate blog for each of them? Same thing with Twitter – would I use different names for each business? Thanks!

Hi Paul! Do you have any concern about editing a PLR ebook and claiming it as your own? I want to put this out there on my website for sale of course and Amazon, Kindle, etc, as mine, but I certainly don’t want o run into any credibility problems down the road if/when someone else does the same thing with the same PLR ebook. I know I will change or add graphics, change headlines and subtitle, and do some editing to put my voice in there. What do you think about this?
Hi Paul, Do you know anything about DAP membership plug-in for WordPress (Digital Access Pass)? It appears to have some cool features – like drip content, included in the price.
I am wondering about support desks – when you are first starting out. I have heard that is the first thing you should set up after you have your product in place, etc. I know there are several free support desk options – I think it’s just a central location for all the support emails to go, which is helpful. What support desk software have you used and what do you suggest for this? Also, along these lines, there are some busy marketers that still personally answer emails. As their customer, I greatly appreciate that, but I don’t know how they are able to do that time-wise. What I really hate is getting back those auto emails that say “sorry, I don’t respond Go to my support desk. If you want to do that, then you should always include a link to your support desk in your emails and be clear with people that is where to go, and not waster their time.
Why do most marketers still have you opt-in for freebies, teleseminars, etc., when you are already on their list? I think it’s because they want to segment their lists, is that correct? It’s a little annoying on this end.

He’s very happy with me and with how it’s going and I enjoy doing it. I love teaching and helping others this way. My girl and I are sitting in the Memphis airport. We’re mid-leg between San Antonio and home.
