Hollywood Launches Part 3 [183]

On May 10, 2010, in internet marketing, by Paul Evans

That little rating meter comes from Rotten Tomatoes.

Over 2300 folks voted.

They talk.

Their vote influences others.

It a big part of the Hollywood Launch Formula.

People get excited and move. People talk for months before the movie is released about going to see it. Excitment grows. Then… finally… it’s here. And folks flood theaters. This past weekend to the tune of $133 million.

It’s social proof at it’s best.

Success is NOT an Accident,

Hollywood Launches Part 2 [182]

On May 1, 2010, in internet marketing, by Paul Evans

Hollywood makes no apologies for launching several new products each week.

We have no problem getting hit with dozens (hundreds) of commercials, billboards, talk shows, magazines, apps and more.

If it’s a movie we’re excited about we’ll watch the trailer over and over…

Ironman 2

Why?

It’s entertaining and fun.

No one badgers us to go see the movie. We get to decide on our own without any real pressure.

And that’s the KEY. We’re in “control.”

(Well, that’s what we think anyway.) :-)

This is a critical launch lesson from Hollywood…

Entertainment + “I am in control of the decision” is a powerful combination. It’s a right combination.

The reason folks get upset with the typical product launch is they feel they are being manipulated to buy something they are not sure they really want or need. (And sometimes that’s true.)

But u can run ur launches differently. Ethically.

Make it fun. Give clients the right to choose on their own without tricks or fishy tactics.

In part 3… Hollywood’s MOST powerful strategy and how u can use it.

Success is NOT an Accident!

Paul
