Success Saturday

Welcome to Success Saturday!

Do you ever feel like giving up? Feel like packing it in?

Jeanette sent in this “testimonial.” Read it and then I’ve got some ideas to rev you up…

Hi Paul,

Has anyone told you, you are awesome today?  Well, consider being told right now.

You are my HERO!!!  Let me just tell you why real quick.

I’ve been working my way through “Simple 6″ and your wonderful NOI training videos everyday now.

I put up a new site in 3 days all by myself!

I could hardly believe it. I was scared to death of C-Panel and barely knew WP.

You’re SO good, I’m a little scared to tell people… you’re like my secret weapon now!

Let me say - I seriously was about to give up about 2 weeks ago.

I was so TiReD of getting ripped off, so TiReD of trying to figure it all out by myself, I shut my lap top after 3-4 years of “trying” and “training”. (I got a lot done, but hardly made any sales.)

But then, like some miracle, I found your free videos on YouTube, and I actually just cried.

You literally saved me from giving up.  Thank you so much for being there for people like me.

Jeanette

01: If you feel like Jeanette…

Tired of getting ripped-off.

Ready to give up.

Closing the laptop.

Scared.

… you’re not alone. EVERYONE feels like this at some point. Even all the folks claiming that making money online is “easy street.”

So if you’re jaded, beat down and worn-out at times > no problem. It’s NORMAL!

02: Repeat PROVEN Steps

Jeanette simply watched videos and followed the steps. She may credit me, but SHE did the WORK.

You might get tired of me saying this, but making money online is really simple.

Traffic > List > Offers.

Just stay with the tried and true over and over.

03: Go RESCUE Your Market

“You saved me from giving up.”

That’s one of the BIG reasons I chose the internet marketing niche even though I serve several markets.

Do the same for your niche.

Instead of focusing on surface goals… “Get a #1 ranking on Google.”

Go deeper…

“Get a #1 ranking on Google so I can help as many people in (my niche) as possible. I can prevent them from getting duped and scammed.”

That’s a much stronger motivation.

If all you think about is making money. You “might” make some.

If all you think about is helping people, you WILL make money.

What if you got CONSUMED with helping as many people as possible? What if all you thought about was ways to get your message out to as many in your market as possible? What would happen? Yep, you would make money.

You CAN make it. Don’t give up.

Success is NOT an Accident!

The Easiest Way to Outsell Other Affiliates

On January 22, 2012, in affiliate marketing, by Paul Evans

If you’re an affiliate marketer, then you’re always looking over your shoulder to see if the competition – your fellow affiliates – are catching up to you.

At times the market can be crowded, so selling the same thing to same group of people means you’re lucky to get just a small share of the market.

But it doesn’t have to be that way – not when you turn an affiliate offer into a unique offer!

You see, most affiliates try to sell the product as is. If your prospects are shopping around, they’re going to skip all the “me too” offers.

Instead, they’re going to focus on those offers that give them an incentive to buy. And that means you can outsell the other affiliates simply by offering a bonus product to anyone who buys through your affiliate link.

Here’s how…

Step 1: Select Your Incentive

Your goal is to make your offer stand out from the crowd by offering an incentive to buy from your link, thereby boosting your conversion rate. And that means you need to offer a bonus that enhances or otherwise compliments the affiliate product.

One way to do this is by reading the sales letter for the product and choosing one particularly enticing bullet point.

Example #1: If the sales letter tells prospects they can learn how to get traffic from social media sites, then you can create a report called “27 Ways to Use Social Media to Drive Traffic to Any Website!”

Example #2: If the sales page for a diet book promises a month of low calorie recipes to customers, you can create a supplementary low calorie recipe book and give it away to those who buy from your link.

Example #3: You’re selling a dog training book. You see a bullet point about eliminating bad behaviors such as jumping, incessant barking, digging in the gardening, etc. You can create a report or even a video called, “The Secrets of Training the Perfect Dog: How to Keep Your Dog’s Paws Off Your Guests, Off Your Counters and Out of Your Garden!”

The point is, your freebie should be directly related to the affiliate offer. You want your prospects to buy through your link just because the incentive is so enticing.

Step 2: Create your Incentive

Once you decide on the topic, your next step is to create the bonus product. If you’re creating a short report or video, you can probably finish it in one day. Otherwise, you can hire a trusted freelancer to do it, which frees your time to focus on marketing the offer!

Tip: You find ghostwriters on sites like WarriorForum.com, Elance.com, and GetAFreelancer.com. You can also ask for recommendations from your colleagues via your social networks or on business forums.

Step 3: Sell and Deliver!

Finally, your last step is to promote your offer by letting prospects know that anyone who buys the affiliate product using your link will get the bonus product.

Now, there are a few ways to deliver the product:

  1. On the download page. If you’ve developed a relationship with the product vendor, he may agree to set up a special sales page that promotes the bonus plus a special download page so that customers can download it instantly after purchasing.
  2. Manually. You can have customers forward their receipts and then you send them the link to the bonus.
  3. Automatically. You can also set up a special email address with an autoresponder, so that anyone who sends you a receipt gets the download link automatically. (Naturally, some people will try to “cheat” this system.)

And there you have it – the simple three-step strategy you can use to outsell your competitors and put more money in your pocket.

How to Get Others to Click an Affiliate Link

On January 21, 2012, in affiliate marketing, by Paul Evans

No matter what type of affiliate product or service you’re selling, you’re probably always looking for ways to get your offers in front of more prospects… and you’re looking for ways to get folks to click on your affiliates links. That’s because marketing is a numbers game – the more targeted prospects who see your offers, the more money you make.

With that in mind, here are three killer tips for getting others to click your affiliate links…

1.   Build Trust First

People buy from those they know, like and trust. So if you’re a virtual stranger who’s asking people to click on your affiliate links, guess what happens? Not a darn thing. No one clicks because no one trusts you.

Instead, what you need to do is publish a newsletter (and preferably a blog, too). That way your prospects get to know you with each issue you send or article you post. And you’ll also build trust with your audience by providing free, quality solutions to their problems.

2.   Pre-Sell Your Products

Even if people know, like and trust you, they’re still not going to rush to click on your affiliate links unless you give them a good reason to do so. And that means you need to pre-sell your affiliate offers before you send your visitors on to the vendor’s page.

Here are three ways to do exactly that…

a.   Do a product review or comparison. If you want to sell a single product, then you can do a product review. This is where you share the good points (benefits) of the products, the product’s flaws and your “verdict” (whether you recommend it or not).

Tip: If you just want to offer the product benefits, then you’re basically writing a sales letter. That’s fine. But don’t confuse it with a product review. A review is an honest assessment of the product, including product flaws. However, don’t be afraid to share the flaws, as doing so makes people trust you more – and that increased trust increases your conversion rate.

Alternatively, you can compare two or more similar products – flaws and all – and let your readers know which one you recommend.

b.   Share a case study. People want proof that a product works. And one way to offer proof is by sharing a case study of what types of results you or someone else got by using the product.

c.    Build anticipation. Another way to get people to click on your affiliate links is by building anticipation and curiosity. You can do this over a series of emails. Or you can do in just one email, where you get people curious about the sales page.

3.   Add Value to Your Offers

When you’re an affiliate, you’re in direct competition with other affiliates who are selling the same product. One way to virtually eliminate the competition is by adding value to the offer – that is, you offer a related bonus product or service to those who purchase the item through your affiliate link.

Examples:

  • You offer a free sales letter critique to those who buy a copywriting course through your link.
  • You offer a free blogging course for those who purchase a traffic-generation course through your link.
  • You offer a free exercise book and a free recipe book to those who purchase a diet course through your link.

Apply all three of these tips and see if you don’t start enjoying more sales, too!

It’s exciting to think about how much money you can make online. But if you’re new to online marketing, it can also be overwhelming to try to figure out which business model is right for you.

The solution? Keep it simple.

Just follow these seven surefire steps to online profits…

Step 1: Choose a Market

But don’t just choose any market – instead, choose a HUNGRY market. That means you’re looking for a market that is actively seeking paid solutions to their problems.

Here’s how:

Search marketplaces like Amazon.com and Clickbank.com to see what types of niches attract eager, proven buyers.

Use a keyword tool like WordTracker.com or the free Google Keyword Tool to find out what people are searching for. You can enter your proposed niche keywords (like “dog training”) to see if there is a demand, or enter a broad keyword (like “secrets” or “how to”) to uncover new niches.

Go to EzineArticles.com and browse the top articles to see which niches are popular.

Step 2: Get Your Tools In Place

Once you find a niche that spends money, your next step is to gather your tools. These include:

Step 3: Select an Offer to Promote

Next, you need to find an affiliate offer that you can promote to your hungry niche. The best way to do that is to find out what they’re already buying… and choose a similar offer.

Simply go to Clickbank.com and browse the relevant niche category. Those products appearing at the top of the catalog are your best sellers – you should choose a product near the top of the list.

Just be sure to buy, read and use the product to ensure that it is, indeed, a good product.

Step 4: Write and Upload a Mini eCourse

Your next step is to create an autoresponder series around the topic of your product so that you can promote your offer. Your autoresponder series should be at least 7-12 messages long.

For example:

  • You’re selling a copywriting product. You can create a seven-part ecourse on how to write a sales letter. Then promote the copywriting product in every message.
  • You’re selling a diet recipe book. You can create a 10-part weight loss course that pitches the recipe book in every message.
  • You’re selling a dog training video. You can create a seven part course that teaches the basic obedience lessons such as sit, down and stay. In every message you refer your prospects to the paid video for more information.

Here’s the key: Do NOT solve your prospect’s problems 100%. You want to provide useful but incomplete information, so that your prospects need to purchase your affiliate offer in order to fully solve their problems.

Step 5: Create a Squeeze page

Next, you need to persuade your prospects to subscribe to your ecourse. You do this by creating a mini sales page (AKA squeeze page). This page should include:

  • A headline that touts your course’s major benefit (e.g., “FREE: How to housetrain your puppy in just three easy steps!”).
  • A list of the other benefits of your course (e.g., “You’ll discover the secrets of turning an unruly, rambunctious puppy into a perfect houseguest!”).
  • And a call to action (e.g., “Just enter your name and email address in the form below now, click join and you’ll get instant access to this eye-opening report!”).

You may also provide proof of your claims, such as testimonials, videos, screenshots, pictures and similar evidence.

Step 6: Drive Traffic to the Squeeze Page

Next, you need to drive targeted traffic to your squeeze page so that you can quickly build your list. You can do this by:

  • Starting a blog and posting articles that are optimized for the search engines.
  • Trading links with other high traffic sites in your niche.
  • Being a guest blogger on other peoples’ blogs.
  • Co-promoting with other marketers in your niche (e.g., endorsing each other in your newsletters).
  • Submitting articles to EzineArticles.com and other article directories.
  • Using social media sites like Squidoo.com, Yahoo! Answers, and Facebook.com.
  • Participating on niche forums on in niche blog discussions.

Step 7: Add Messages to Your Autoresponder Series

Once you’re getting traffic, building your list and making a profit, you can start adding even more messages to your autoresponder – anywhere from a couple month’s worth of messages to a year or more.

That way you’ll make money virtually on autopilot – all you have to do is build your list and let your autoresponder do all the work!
