“Paul, what can help me get ahead in business faster?”
CONFIDENCE.
It seems like the answer should be something like business strategy, etc.
But strategies do not work without confidence.
Even the freedom exercise you have been doing this week, does not work without confident follow through.
One of my niches that I don’t talk much about is the self-esteem niche. My confidence course has helped thousands stand strong.
Knowledge + Skill + Belief = Confidence
Knowledge:
You have to believe that you have enough knowledge, or can attain it.
There is no lack of information. People perish in the internet desert from a lack of application, not information.
But if you’ll take information and add application, soon you’ll discover transformation. OK, that’s a little cheesy, but it paints the picture.
So this first step, knowledge, is really no hurdle. We’re in a field where a few keystrokes can answer almost any question for free. There are free videos for training. Free articles for researching. Free forums for asking.
However, we cannot afford to become professional students, we must acquire some…
Skill:
You have to believe you have the skills required or can learn them.
Napoleon Dynamite: “You know, like nun chuck skills, bow hunting skills, computer hacking skills… Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills.”
Napoleon got it so freakin’ close!
Our hearts only want to lend belief to hands of great skill.
Deep down we KNOW if we don’t have the ability. We know if we’re being charlatans and attempting to pull off a product beyond our capability. We know if we are just regurgitating information we read without practically applying. We know if we really don’t have viable experience and yet claim we do.
It’s discouraging to feel that way. And many do. Deep down.
But…
It’s exciting when you KNOW your skills.
Belief:
I don’t believe in unfounded belief. “I know I can do it!” has to be more than emotion. There needs to be some evidence that it is possible.
We’re talking about legitimate belief.
It’s KNOWING that you can combine your knowledge and skills toward a specific goal.
Combining your knowledge, skills and belief forges your confidence.
Success is NOT an Accident,
Paul
