Issue 85: Cumulative Action

from Paul Evans
===========================================

Added another 20 miles to the bike this morning. 72 miles for the week. So much more fun than running!! :-) Only 28 miles to go!

On track with the weight loss and fitness has massively improved.

Yesterday’s Profit Letter http://tinyurl.com/mjchfh focused on a “common sense” approach to online business. Pretty basic.

Now let’s ramp it up a bit. Let’s talk about producing at higher levels. Generating results based on cumulative action.

On page 13 of Income DNA http://www.nicheologyprofitletter.com you saw the following…

Bench Press:

135 X 10 reps X 3 sets = 4050 pounds lifted

X 3 times a week = 12,150

X 52 weeks in a year = 631,800

X 2 years = 1,262,600 pounds lifted in two years.

And that’s JUST bench presses. One exercise. Without progressive lifts. Do you see the power of compound action?

Now let’s look at business…

Steve Kloyda is working hard on www.membershipcsi.com right now. On the first assignment he included this bit of background information…

“Since 1980 I have personally made over 250,000 telephone calls. Since starting Telemasters in 1990 I have facilitated over 1000 workshops and had over 6000 one-on-one coaching sessions. In the process I have certified over 500 sales managers on our unique process. I have also listened to and analyzed over 25,000 actual sales calls. This had created a wealth of knowledge that I love to share.”

WOW! WOW!!

Steve produces. He’s not a talker, he’s got evidence. (He is also one of the most humble people I’ve met. What a combination.)

There is no doubt he is going to succeed. No doubt that he will hit top marks with his membership site.

OK, let’s bring this home.

Cumulative cycling = weight loss and fitness

Cumulative sales calls = expert level and success

Cumulative internet business action = income

Let’s get CRAZY. Super weird.

What if…

WHAT IF…

You did something close to insane?

Let’s dream a second, lunatic. :-)

1 – Pretend you have a site on Cat’s with a free newsletter because you love cats.

2 – You rent a list of 1000 cat lovers.

3 – You PICK UP THE PHONE and call them.

4 – “Mrs. Jones, you don’t know me, but I got your name from Cat Catalog. I love Cats too and wanted to invite you to join my free Cat Lovers email list. Every week you get a new issue. There’s nothing to buy. It’s free…OK…what is your email?…Great…The next time you check it there will be a message with the subject line ‘Confirm your Cat Lover’s Free Email Newsletter. Just click the link in the email and that’s it! I am excited about sending you this Mrs. Jones!! Bye.

5 – If no one is home you just leave a message to visit your site.

You would close a ton of people on those calls. PLUS they would feel like they KNOW you!! And you would end up selling product for that very reason.

That might sound crazy and it’s not for the lazy. But can you imagine what would happen?

The cumulative effect of those calls would be wild.

That’s just one example of what could be done. Think in MASS. Don’t think about writing one article for your website, think about a thousand (begin with one.)

Don’t think about creating one affiliate site, think about 100. (Here’s a GREAT course to help you with that http://budurl.com/AffBlueprint).

Think in compounds. Think in multiples. Think in MASS.

Success is NOT an Accident,

Paul

regarding your post, I call this the “put one foot in front of the other effect”. That may not be catchy but it is really the key to success. We may trip in a pothole or get stuck on a piece of gum every now and then, but if we just keep moving we’ll reach our destination.

The weight lifting examples would make a very interesting visual.
