==================================

Do you have trouble making it to the finish line?

We all do!!!

It ain’t easy to stay focused, jammin’ and rockin’ and rollin’ all the time.

Heck, here in the South we live at a slower pace. We’re trained from birth to take things easy. We even talk slow. That’s why it’s called a Southern Drawl.

Yesterday I mentioned that my sites making the most money are taking the least time. That’s true. What I didn’t tell you was that they could be making so much MORE if I had stayed focused on them! There was no need to kill it every day. But just a little more time here and there would have made a big’ol difference.

And that’s the key to making it online.

Just steady, Freddy git’er done.

That’s why I was PUMPED to get the following…

Dear Paul,

I did it! – Thanks for the challenge! I have been studying and not implementing. The technical stuff gets me every time.

With your challenge of a Friday deadline, and lots of great tutorials in Nicheology and Content Goldmine I did several firsts in the last two days!

• I set up a WordPress blog
• Uploaded a theme and plugins
• Acvtivated the plugins
• Set up an Aweber account
• Built an opt-in box in Aweber
• Placed it on my blog
• Wrote a report & learned how to convert it to pdf
• Attached the report as a download for those who opt in.

That might not seem like much to someone who’s done it before, but I’d venture a guess that I spent close to 20 hours getting it done. Yikes! Actually it could have only taken me 10 hours but I had a coding issue with the .htaccess file.

Do I know what that is? No. And I couldn’t have fixed it myself either; but I had a deadline to meet, I had to submit my functional opt in box to Nicheology by FRIDAY!

I couldn’t allow myself to go into frustration induced hair pulling, because I’d make a very ugly bald woman! Instead I called Hostgator for help, and in minutes their first class customer service department fixed my .htaccess file problem.

Setting up a wordpress site first time is the hardest, I can confidently say I could repeat the same steps listed above in an hour or two. Now I’m beginning to see why WordPress is very popular.

As you can see there is much to do content wise on my blog, it’s basically empty, but not for long. www.mybudgetweddingplan.com

I’m so excited to be in a position to start building my first list.

Please tell the people that with all the tutorials in Nicheology and Content Goldmine, this is so doable, if you really want to get it done!

There’s a little sign that hangs over my kitchen sink that says “Wishes won’t wash dishes” Well, wishes won’t get an online business started either, but studying, time, and effort will!

Thank very much,
Maureen Mancha

P.S. Send out another challenge!

Congratulations, Maureen. GREAT work!!!!!

Maureen is talking about the challenge given to Nicheology members during the last Profit Academy. We set up an autoresponder and a squeeze page and everyone was challenged to get to work and make it to the finish line.

Love this…

“Wishes won’t wash dishes”

You got that right!!

If you’ve been throwing your money into a wishing well and waiting for a fortune to show up in your inbox, then I’ve got 3 words for you…

GET TO WORK!!!!

It’s that simple!

It’s Friday. Have something DONE by Monday. If you’re wanting to make money, don’t spend the weekend just relaxing. Plan that cubicle escape tunnel, get your shovel and start digging!

Success is NOT an Accident!
Paul

    Hal and Grace,

    Good Work!!!

The work will get faster and faster. Usually what happens is that it’s slow for a while and then it suddenly “clicks,” And everything speeds up.

To me business has 2 elements…

    1. Fundamentals

Stuff that’s the same for everyone. Such as blog set up, autoresponders, etc. Basic mechanics. Or as mentioned above… traffic, list, offers.

    2. Findamentals

This is when you discover what works best for you in YOUR market. Your emails, strategy and approach can be totally different form others, yet still highly successful.

    “Find” what works for you.

Yep, that takes time, but in the long run you become more successful.

    Peace,
    paul

I have put up 4 other blogs before I got your content goldmine. I’ve got to say that using the tools you provide every month has made it easier to focus on what i need to do. It still takes me 15 to 20 hours to put it all together and that is after getting help from people with better tech skills. I put the blog up using all your material and have since found other ways to find content that is my own. The site has been up for a few days but I expect it to get much more traffic. I’m already building another blog in a niche that is highly profitable for many. That would have deterred me from going their (going into a niche already occupied by many) but it doesn’t anymore. My only concern right now is how am I going to manage everything by myself. I need to start thinking “Outsource” but with reliable resources. Any thoughts on outsourcing.
    Thanks,
    Hal Hoadley

    Paul,
You are the one person who makes me keep trying this internet thing. You said you would rather have someone with a very bad site than one who says they will do it soon. I have tried to set up one and then now I have to start again allover and I feel so tired and with no money to hire someone I got get up…You also said that one should keep working even when excited, tired, frustrated and even when things are not working. I feel I know what I should do even though I have never done it but there is the fact that how do I then crack the code.
I read your newsletters they are so simple and true.
    Thanks
    grace

    Robert,

    Keep going!!

Also, being a tech-guy don’t forget local businesses around you. They have no clue about how to mesh there business with online marketing. There may be some diamonds right there in your own backyard.

Making money online comes down to….

    1. Sending traffic to your site.

    2. Capturing contact info.

    3. Making market matching offers.

    Of course, that’s the base.

Things really start rolling when you develop a relationship with your people and they buy based on trust not just impulse.

    Blessings!
    Paul

well spoken, I’m trying to recoover my steam, I have managed to get at least 5 sites up however one has to watch out as this game can get real brutal real fast. I had all of my sites hacked and placed on googles malware warning list. I have not made dime one from this. I did learn one major thing. When you get your domain name be sure to keep your information cloaked for your own security. These people have no scruples and hacked all of my wordpress / zen cart websites once they got my name info. I am a single dad and had lost one of my kids to a heart condition @ 14 months of age in June 5 th. I have been working at this for awhile, trying to break free of the 9-5 as well. What really irritates me is that I know an awful lot tech wise and have invested countless hours and still yet haven’t really made any money as of yet..and yet I see those that don’t have half as much work on this making all kinds of money.I’m not giving up, but hopefully I can get my motivation kick started again. wish me luck..
