One of the best clips I’ve seen from you, you are creating your unique video charisma by allowing more of you to show up in the videos. Excellent!
However, because aging and “The Change” is something most don’t want and fearfully wait for, I felt that I dont’ want my business to go through “the Change”.
Anyhow, the goal accomplished – a compelling stroy that makes us to response and remember not only you, but the message.
“Just how old are you?” Paul, are you crazy???
Here’s a tip…when women go through the change, age is irrelevant! You need to be havin’ some more talks with your wife so you understand this stuff!

Changing is hard, and I think accepting change is part of maturing. As I’ve reached a certain allegedly advanced age, I no longer try to conform to the crowd. Plus, I’ve been around the ‘net long enough to see it start growing up.
In any case, anyone in business for any length of time knows that change is inevitable. The , such as ethics, quality, etc., should not, but even the product should in some way. The only exception is a product so simple that it can’t change, except to get more complex. Slingshots can still be made with a forked stick piece of rubber. Any change only makes it more complex, or fancy, not better.
Then there is change that makes thing worse, like all the pollution equipment on cars. Now, it takes a master mechanic and Hundreds of Thousands of dollars in equipment to diagnose and fix. In spite of better and easier ways to achieve the same end point. The point being to carefully study and plan changes, before making them. Look for the easiest, simplest way to achieve the desired goal. Including whether or not real change is necessary.
An attractive woman does not need great change to be beautiful. She may only need a new ways of dressing, or wearing her hair. It’s the same with a business or web site. If you have a pig, putting lipstick on it, doesn’t improve the situation. In that case, you need a fundamental makeover. IOW, be sure what you have, a pig or cinderella, and choose changes carefully. One you can make better, the other you can make worse.
THANKS Paul. I guess the message is still take action!!!! But for me your honesty about ADHD was profound. My son has been diagnosed with ADHD and we often show him how many successful people have it !! You are certainly 1 example I will now use. I am definately hyper!! and most people love me for it! Can I ask were you always so comfortable with your personaltiy??? I find one thing i need to change is to except my personality… but I am always worried about being seen as that woman at the track!!! There is that fine line between being aware of your personality and worrying too much. You seem so comfortable with you, I am working toward this.
THANKS AGAIN for your honesty:)
Blame my mom with my personality comfort. She definitely encouraged it.
You can ask all of my long time friends and they let ya know that I’ve never been too concerned about what others thought. And not too concerned about fitting in with certain groups.
(Ok, “too concerned” makes it sound like I might actually care at times about what folks think and about fitting in. I shouldn’t mislead since you elevated my honesty. I really don’t care about that stuff. )
Life’s brief. So is my memory. So if I bother someone with my ADD hyperness, I forget about it in 1.3 seconds and move on never realizing it took place.
However…
In future vids I’ll share some awkward social moments my “personality” had led to. At least those I remember…or actually the ones the people involved reminded me of.
Paul, you are a rock star with this one. ROFL. Thanks for the analogy.
“The Change” is good all round, especially when being more proactive than reactive.
Best,
Mary
Hi Paul, great video I loved it and I especially liked the story how you compare the menopause with change in business! Every once in a while I have this sudden urge to change everything in my life, when I was younger I would change jobs and boyfriends all at the same time and then as I got older I would change jobs and move house in the same month. I’m now married with children and self employed and recently had this desire to change something in my life, well I didn’t want to change the husband and the kids are non refundable and I quite like the house we live in so instead I created a new business and loving every minute of it! Whilst I can’t decide when my body will change I can certainly change the way I run my business. Thank you, Nikki
I was reading some old tweets made during live speaking event. People were hitting on the humor. And I thought, “Dang, I NEVER do that at NLP.”
Really hit home last year too when Ol John Morgan said, “Dude, I’m on your list. Did even know you had a personality and here you are ripping it from the stage.”
O well. More to come. Some funny. Some serious. Some possibly strange.
This was hysterical! The truth is if you take a “PROACTIVE PAUSE” and make that list you mentioned you can make change in your business.
The other change you mentioned definitely factors into love success in personal and business affairs. Though the acceptance and comfort level of the conversation can be very dependent on locale (being in Alabama is different than California).
Keep those Profit Letters coming… Success is NOT an Accident!
LOL! Paul, you are such a master at relating the ‘everyday’ or ‘regular life lessons’ into internet marketing lessons. Great point though. And for the record, as ‘a lady’, I hate the age question more than anything. I will probably be more willing to talk about ‘the change’ when I get there.
Paul,
well that was a good controversial story!
